I am an Economist at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and affiliated researcher at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. I earned a PhD in Economics jointly from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2019. I also worked as consultant for UN-ECLAC, the OECD and the Bank of Italy.
My primary fields are firm dynamics, economics of innovation and science of science, with an emphasis on the evaluation of innovation policies.
I am member of the Editorial Review Board of Small Business Economics

A paper on the causal effects of regional subsidies for innovative start-ups, co-authored with Emanuele Russo, was recently published on Research Policy.
