I am an Economist at STATEC Research and affiliated researcher at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. I earned a PhD in Economics jointly from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2019. I also worked as consultant for UN-ECLAC, the OECD and the Bank of Italy.
My primary fields are firm dynamics and economics of innovation, with a focus on young innovative firms and the evaluation of public policies targeting them.
I am member of the Editorial Review Board of Small Business Economics
My job market paper, “The Causal Effects of R&D Grants: Evidence from a Regression Discontinuity”, is out. The paper was presented at the NBER Summer Institute and featured in Voxeu, Lavoce and IlSole24Ore.
The article “Public Funding of Innovation: Exploring Applications and Allocations of the European SME Instrument” has been published in Research Policy.
